In the Bicentennial in 1976, the U.S. received some 176 gifts and tributes from ~40 nations and civic organizations. Britain gave 12 gifts and tributes and Israel gave 4. Inspired by this legacy, Reut USA is orchestrating a gift that is coming out of Israel and will be distributed by Jewish institutions across America to local organizations that support wounded veterans and people with disabilities, thereby making a significant and distinct Jewish and Israeli contribution to the Semiquincentennial.
TOM - Tikkun Olam Makers - is an international venture of Reut USA that developes and distributes TOM Solutions for the needs of vulnerable populations, primarily of people with disabilities.
Explore the dozens of solutions made by TOM over the years which we plan to gift the American people and those most vulnerable

The gift will be an online “portfolio” of 50-250 solutions for the needs of wounded veterans and disabled Americans, which were created in Israel to help wounded IDF soldiers with American funding. All solutions will be open source and available in the “public domain” which means that they can used by anyone anywhere.
The gift - namely the solutions for wounded veterans and disabled Americans - will be distributed across the United States in 50 states and 75 cities via mobilized local Jewish and Israeli communities who will work with local VA organizations and care facilities.
TOM will prepare the Semiquin Playbook and other materials to support local institutions in giving the Bicentennial Gift within their communities. We will outline various formats for different communities, age groups and institutions such as schools, camps, JCCs, Hillels and federations and streamline visual branding and messaging to create a unified framework story with many local manifestations.
TOM’s 2026 Global Innovation Challenge will focus on the Semiquincentennial. In TOM’s GIC, teams from around the world develop solutions for needs of people who are living with disabilities. Our closing event will be toward Memorial Day and we will celebrate the winners by July 4, 2026.
To effectuate Todah America, Reut USA plans to collaborate, cooperate and partner with Leading Jewish organizations, specialized organizations, and a central advisory committee support local advisory committees around the U.S.
Iconic events will happen on state, city and federal levels. For example, we are planning celebratory giving of the Semiquin Gift to governors of states, an event in Congress and and exhibitions in museums, public squares and other iconic locations.
